Qualifications and Experience
Dr Badenhorst qualified from the University of Witwatersrand in 2013 and completed her three years of public serviceat Kalafong Hospital in Pretoria. She has a strong interest in behavioural genetics and completed a B.Sc. Hons degree at the University of the Free State in 2008. She obtained her HIV Diploma from Colleges of Medicine SA in 2018.
She has been working in private practice since 2017. She shares a practice with Dr Elna Rudolph in Bryanston. She is part of the My Sexual Health team – a multidisciplinary team of Sexual Health Professionals in Pretoria, Johannesburg & Cape Town. They are a big team of Sexual Healthcare Providers & Sexologists, all registered with SASHA (South African Sexual Health Association) and their applicable professional boards. She is also a member of the HIV Clinicians Society of South Africa & WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health)
Disclosures
Dr Badenhorst is registered as a GP in South Africa. She is not a gynaecologist, urologist or specialist physician. She is part of My Sexual Health – a group of healthcare providers working in the fields of Sexual Health/Sexology.
Well Family Practice is a GP practice of which she is a co-owner & director. There she consults with GP patients with general medical problems. The Centre of Integrative Medicine in Bryanston is the facility where Dr Badenhorst practices from.
Dr Badenhorst has no association and no financial interest in Ascendis or the Compounding Pharmacy of South Africa, which happens to be on the same premises. She currently has no other disclosures.
